Tato bakalářská práce zkoumá vliv účasti České republiky v rámcových programech EU pro výzkum a inovace, Horizon 2020 a Horizon Europe, na inovace v České republice. Cílem je kvantifikovat vliv finančních prostředků z EU a zapojení českých subjektů do výzkumných programů na inovační výkonnost. Práce využívá ekonometrickou analýzu s využitím dat za období 2000-2021 a zkoumá vliv financování a počtu projektů EU na počet patentových přihlášek na miliardu dolarů HDP (PCT), počet patentů a patentových přihlášek. Výsledky naznačují, že v dlouhodobém horizontu neměly projekty financované EU statisticky významný vliv na počet patentových přihlášek, zatímco počet výzkumných pracovníků a HDP se ukázaly jako významné faktory. V krátkodobém horizontu (2014-2021) byl zjištěn pozitivní vliv počtu projektů EU na PCT přihlášek u Evropské patentové kanceláře, ale negativní vliv financování EU. Práce přináší doporučení pro inovační politiku České republiky, zdůrazňující potřebu podpory investic do výzkumu a vývoje, vzdělávání výzkumných pracovníků a mezinárodní spolupráce. |

This bachelor thesis examines the impact of the Czech Republic's participation in the EU Framework Programmes for Research and Innovation, Horizon 2020 and Horizon Europe, on innovation in the Czech Republic. The aim is to quantify the impact of EU funding and the involvement of Czech entities in research programmes on innovation performance. The paper uses econometric analysis using data for the period 2000-2021 and examines the impact of EU funding and the number of EU projects on the number of patent applications per billion dollars of GDP (PCT), the number of patents and patent applications. The results suggest that in the long run, EU-funded projects did not have a statistically significant effect on the number of patent applications, while the number of researchers and GDP emerged as significant factors. In the short term (2014-2021), a positive effect of EU projects on the number of PCT applications at the European Patent Office but a negative effect of EU funding was found. The paper makes recommendations for innovation policy in the Czech Republic, highlighting the need to promote investment in R&D, researcher training and international cooperation. |
