Předkládaná bakalářská práce se zaměřuje na analýzu fenoménu velké hospodářské krize a jejího dopadu na nakladatelskou a vydavatelskou činnost v Československu v období 1929-1934. Práce analyzuje proměny ekonomických ukazatelů tohoto nakladatelství a sleduje změny společenských nálad prostřednictvím komparace dvou jeho tiskovin – týdeníku Pražský ilustrovaný zpravodaj a deníku České slovo. Práce si klade otázku, nakolik je tiskovina v době krize zbytným statkem. Dále se práce zaobírá otázkou, nakolik měla příslušnost k politické straně vliv na vývoj předkládaných periodik. |

| Abstract: |
This bachelor's thesis focuses on the analysis of the phenomenon of the Great Depression and its impact on publishing activities in Czechoslovakia during the period 1929-1934. The thesis examines the changes in economic indicators of the publishing house and tracks shifts in societal attitudes through a comparison of two of its publications – the weekly Pražský ilustrovaný zpravodaj and the daily České slovo. The thesis poses the question of whether a publication can be considered a non-essential commodity during a time of crisis. Additionally, the thesis explores the extent to which political affiliation influenced the development of these periodicals. |
