Evaluation of the cultural event Experience the city differently

This thesis delves into a comprehensive analysis of the effectiveness and impact of the cultural project "Experience the City Differently" held annually across various Czech cities to rejuvenate public spaces and bolster local communities. The primary objective of this study is to explore the operational dynamics and expansion of this project, assessing its fundamental efficiency. To achieve this goal, a hybrid approach of quantitative and qualitative research methods was employed. Quantitative methods included an analysis of data derived from the final reports of the AutoMat association. Qualitative methods encompassed semi-structured interviews with organizers of selected celebration sites and an analysis of pertinent documents such as reports, press releases, and media articles. The findings offer a comprehensive perspective on the "Experience the City Differently" project and its effects on the involved parties. Consequently, this thesis contributes to a deeper understanding of the significance and value of such cultural projects for local communities and the cultural landscape in the Czech Republic. The conclusions serve as a foundation for further research in cultural policy and community development, as well as for enhancing and optimizing the organization and execution of the project.
