| Abstract: |
Cílem této diplomové práce je porovnat a zhodnotit mediální obraz Mezinárodního festivalu animovaných filmů Anifilm a Mezinárodního festivalu dokumentárních filmů Ji.hlava během let 2021 až 2023. Práce se věnuje analýze, jak média zpracovávají informace o filmových festivalech, jakým způsobem pracují s tiskovými zprávami a jaký zájem médií festivaly vzbuzují. Dále zkoumá, která témata jsou v souvislosti s festivaly nejvíce akcentována. V teoretické části jsou definovány filmové festivaly, jejich historický vývoj, typologie a role, které zastávají. Dále se tato část zaměřuje na způsoby, jakými jsou kulturní události medializovány, a zohledňuje faktory, které tento proces ovlivňují. Praktická část práce zahrnuje výzkum mediálních výstupů vztahujících se k vybraným festivalům pomocí kvalitativní analýzy tiskových zpráv a kvantitativní obsahové analýzy mediálních sdělení za sledované období, které jsou získány vyhledáváním dílčích výstupů v online mediální databázi Anopress. Na základě této analýzy jsou formulovány závěry a zhodnocena efektivita komunikace festivalů. |

| Abstract: |
The aim of this thesis is to compare and evaluate the media image of the International Festival of Animated Films Anifilm and the Ji.hlava International Documentary Film Festival from 2021 to 2023. The thesis focuses on analyzing how the media handle information about the film festivals, how they work with press releases, and the level of media interest these festivals generate. It also examines which themes are most emphasized in relation to the festivals. The theoretical part defines film festivals, their historical development, typology, and the roles they play. Additionally, this section explores the ways in which cultural events are mediated by the media, taking into account the factors that influence this process. The practical part of the work includes research on media outputs related to selected festivals through qualitative analysis of press releases and quantitative content analysis of media messages over the observed period, which are obtained by searching for specific outputs in the online media database Anopress. Based on this analysis, conclusions are formulated, and the effectiveness of the festivals’ communication is evaluated. |
