It examines how crowdfunding platforms operate, the models they use, and the relevant legislative regulations in the European Union, the Czech Republic, and the United States. The practical part of the thesis is dedicated to a comparative analysis of two specific projects on the Upvest platform, namely Dům Hippokrates and Ponavia Rezidence III. The analysis reveals key factors influencing the success of these projects, such as loan conditions, returns for investors, project timelines, and measures to ensure trust and security. The results of the analysis show that the success of a crowdfunding project is heavily dependent on the set conditions of returns, potential risks, conducted due diligence, and transparency, all of which are carefully considered by potential investors when making investment decisions. |
