BI solution for enhancing efficiency in the delivery sector

This thesis focuses on the design and implementation of a Business Intelligence (BI) solution to enhance the efficiency of last-mile delivery. The objective is to create a report that provides an overview of the results of the courier location verification process, thereby improving decision-making for operational management and optimizing resource utilization. The theoretical part of the thesis builds on fundamentals such as the straight-line method, BPMN notation for visualizing the location verification process, ETL process principles, and Business Intelligence concepts. These tools form the foundation of the proposed solution. The practical part is dedicated to requirements analysis, data model design, and report implementation using tools such as Bizzflow and Power BI. The main outcome is improved transparency and faster decision-making in logistics processes, delivering value not only to the specific company but also to the entire last-mile delivery sector. This work demonstrates how modern BI tools can streamline operational processes and support data-driven decision-making.
