| Abstract: | Cílem této diplomové práce je identifikovat možnosti spolupráce mezi singapurskými venture kapitálovými investory a českým technologickým sektorem a zjistit motivace českých technologických startupů navázat investiční spolupráci se singapurskými protějšky. První kapitola představuje koncept startupu, možnosti financování startupu a fungování venture kapitálu. Přibližuje také případ Singapuru jako vzorového ekosystému a poukazuje na oblasti, kde by se české technologické startupy mohly uplatnit. Dále se práce zaměřuje na analýzu českého startupového ekosystému s cílem určit hlavní silné stránky a výzvy a následně vytvořit SWOT analýzu. Poslední část tvoří kvalitativní výzkum, konkrétně hloubkové rozhovory, se zástupci českých technologických startupů či organizací a rovněž respondenty ze Singapuru, kteří se zabývají venture kapitálovými investicemi. Získaná data z rozhovorů ověřují platnost poznatků z předchozích kapitol a napomáhají formulaci doporučení. |

| Abstract: | The aim of this master’s thesis is to identify opportunities for cooperation between Singaporean venture capital investors and the Czech technology sector and to identify the motivations of Czech technology startups to establish investment cooperation with their Singaporean counterparts. The first chapter introduces the concept of startup, the possibilities of startup financing, and the functioning of venture capital. It also introduces the case of Singapore as a model ecosystem and points out areas for cooperation with Czech technology startups. Furthermore, the thesis focuses on the analysis of the Czech startup ecosystem in order to identify the main strengths and challenges and then create a SWOT analysis. The last part consists of qualitative research, namely in-depth interviews, with representatives of Czech technology startups or organisations as well as respondents from Singapore who are involved in venture capital investment. The interview data obtained verify the validity of the findings from the previous chapters and help to formulate recommendations. |
