| Abstract: | Tato práce se zabývá srovnáním rozvojové pomoci poskytované Čínou a Spojenými státy v Africe. A to především zda případné rozdíly odpovídají charakteristikám nových a tradičních dárců. A také zda se četné kritiky čínské rozvojové pomoci zakládají na reálných datech. Čína je jedním z takzvaných nových dárců, zatímco Spojené státy se řadí mezi dárce označované jako tradiční. Čína spolu s některými dalšími novými dárci bývá kritizována, že svojí rozvojovou pomocí podporuje nedemokratické a zkorumpované režimy a že nebere ohledy na potřeby příjemců. A to na rozdíl od tradičních dárců v čele se Spojenými státy. |

| Abstract: | This thesis compares development aid provided by China and the United States in Africa. In particular, whether any differences correspond to the characteristics of new and traditional donors. And also whether the many criticisms of Chinese development aid are based on real data. China is one of the so-called new donors, while the United States is one of the so-called traditional donors. China, along with some other new donors, is often criticised for supporting undemocratic and corrupt regimes with its development aid and for not taking into account the needs of the recipients. This is in contrast to the traditional donors, led by the United States. |
