| Abstract: | Práce se zabývá otázkou účasti ruských a běloruských sportovců na Letních olympijských hrách 2024 v Paříži a vlivem geopolitických konfliktů na rozhodování Mezinárodního olympijského výboru. Analýza je založena na Olympijské chartě a Etickém kodexu, které slouží jako teoretický rámec pro hodnocení souladu rozhodnutí MOV s olympijskými hodnotami. Pomocí analýzy oficiálních dokumentů a klíčových rozhodnutí se práce zaměřuje na implementaci stanovených podmínek účasti neutrálních sportovců a jejich důsledky pro sportovce, sportovní komunitu i samotné olympijské hnutí. Diskutovány jsou také kontroverze spojené s nerovností v uplatňování sankcí, zejména s ohledem na jiné země zapojené do konfliktů, jako je Izrael nebo Severní Korea, které čelí menším restrikcím. Výsledky poskytují kritický pohled na nedůslednost v rozhodování MOV a zdůrazňují nutnost větší konzistence v aplikaci olympijských hodnot při řešení podobných situací v budoucnosti. |

| Abstract: | The thesis deals with the issue of participation of Russian and Belarusian athletes in the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris and the influence of geopolitical conflicts on the decision-making of the International Olympic Committee. The analysis is based on the Olympic Charter and the Code of Ethics, which serve as a theoretical framework for assessing the compliance of IOC decisions with Olympic values. Through the analysis of official documents and key decisions, the thesis focuses on the implementation of the set terms of participation of neutral athletes and their implications for athletes, the sporting community, and the Olympic Movement itself. The controversies surrounding the unequal application of sanctions are also discussed, particularly with regard to other countries involved in conflicts, such as Israel or North Korea, which face fewer restrictions. The results provide a critical perspective on the inconsistency in IOC decision-making and highlight the need for greater consistency in the application of Olympic values when dealing with similar situations in the future. |
