Mass accommodation facilities in the Czech Republic and the development of electromobility

This bachelor’s thesis deals with the readiness of mass accommodation facilities for electromobility. The main objective of this thesis is to determine the current state of electromobility-related infrastructure in mass accommodation facilities in the Czech Republic. This also relates to the other objective of the thesis. Namely, how this infrastructure is presented to tourists and if so, whether and how the penetration of this infrastructure relates to mass accommodation facilities. The thesis is divided into six chapters. The first chapter describes the current state of electromobility infrastructure in the Czech Republic. In other words, a geographical representation of infrastructure distribution and a brief description of charging stations. The second chapter will, on the other hand, examine the number of EVs in relation to the total amount of M1 category vehicles in the Czech Republic, followed by comparing the findings with another EU country and a light summary of subsidies. The third chapter will look at the structure of mass accommodation facilities in the counties, i.e. what is the number of them in the Czech Republic overall, and then the representation in each of the 14 regions. The fourth chapter will provide a sight into the trends in tourist consumption behaviour. The fifth chapter will deal with accommodation search platforms, mainly Booking.com. The sixth and final chapter will provide an overview of how the electromobility infrastructure is presented to the tourists as well as statistics on how many prefer a hotel or guesthouse for their accommodation, comparing this with the final findings on the hotel presentation of this infrastructure.
