| Abstract: | Hlavním cílem práce je zhodnocení vývoje ekonomické specializace České republiky a Slovenska v období 2010–2023 a následné vytvoření návrhů pro doplnění aktuálních RIS3 strategií České republiky a Slovenska. První kapitola je deskriptivní a popisuje za prvé teoretický základ ekonomické specializace a její politiky, za druhé empirické ověření tohoto teoretického základu a konkrétních politik. Hlavním nástrojem práce je empirická analýza odhalených komparativních výhod, která pro jejich výpočet používá normalizovaný index odhalené komparativní výhody (NRCA). V analytické části jsou hodnoty indexu NRCA počítány v hrubém exportu i v přidané hodnotě a vzájemně srovnávány. Výstupem analýzy je specializační profil ekonomik České republiky a Slovenska v letech 2010 až 2023. Hlavní analýza je doplněna vedlejší analýzou, která je zaměřená na financování R&D. Na základě výstupů z analýz jsou finálně zhodnoceny a doplněny RIS3 strategie České republiky a Slovenska a zároveň jsou navržena doporučení pro jejich specializační politiku. |

| Abstract: | The main goal of the thesis is the assessment of economic specialization of Czech Republic and Slovakia in the period 2010-2023 and creation of suggestions to add to the current RIS3 strategies of the Czech Republic and Slovakia. The first chapter is descriptive and describes 1) the theoretical basis of economic specialization and its policy, 2) empirical validation of this theoretical basis and concrete policies. The main instrument of the thesis is empirical analysis of revealed comparative advantages, which uses the normalized index of revealed comparative advantage (NRCA) for its calculation. In the analytical part, the values of the NRCA index are calculated both in gross export and in value added and mutually compared. The result of the analysis is a specialization profile of the economies of the Czech Republic and Slovakia in the years 2010 to 2023. The main analysis is complemented by a secondary one, which is focused on R&D expenditures. Based on the results of the analyses, the RIS3 strategies of the Czech Republic and Slovakia are finally assessed and amended and suggestions are made for their specialization policy. |
