Israel's foreign policy towards Saudi Arabia in the 21st century

Tato práce zkoumá dynamiku vztahů mezi Královstvím Saúdské Arábie a moderním státem Izrael, přičemž se zaměřuje na 21. století. Autorka analyzuje vývoj vztahu prostřednictvím vlád izraelských premiérů, zejména však vlády politika Benjamina Netanjahua, který je premiérem nepřetržitě od roku 2009. K analýze politiky používá autorka koncept Železné opony, který spadá pod revizionistický pohled na Stát Izrael, a je tedy radikálnější verzí konceptu sionismu. Jelikož je Benjamin Netanjahu znám svým tvrdým přístupem k nepřátelům, bude práce analyzovat, zda tento přístup uplatňuje i vůči samotné Saúdské Arábii.

This thesis examines the dynamics of the relationship between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the modern state of Israel, focusing on the 21st century. The author analyzes the evolution of the relationship through the governments of Israeli prime ministers but in particular, the government of politician Benjamin Netanyahu, who has been Prime Minister continuously since 2009. To analyze his policies, the author uses the concept of the Iron Wall, which falls under the revisionist view of the State of Israel and is therefore a more radical version of the idea of Zionism. Since Benjamin Netanyahu is known for his radical attitude towards his enemies, the thesis will analyze whether he applies this approach to Saudi Arabia itself.
