| Abstract: | Cílem této práce je zjistit, zda má ekonomická nejistota vliv na míru porodnosti. V první části je představena odborná literatura, nezbytná pro pochopení zkoumané problematiky a ověření hypotéz v praktické části. Za účelem analýzy vlivu ekonomické nejistoty, reprezentované kombinací vhodných proměnných (nezaměstnanost, příjmová nerovnost, úroveň vzdělání žen) na porodnost je sestrojen ekonometrický model čítající 27 zemí EU od roku 2012 do 2021. Výsledky odhadů v souladu s ekonomickou teorií prokazují statisticky významný negativní vliv míry nezaměstnanosti na porodnost a zároveň identifikují další faktory ekonomické nejistoty, které tento negativní vliv na porodnost mají. |

| Abstract: | The objective of this thesis is to determine whether economic uncertainty has an impact on fertility rates. The first part presents the academic literature essential for understanding the examined issue and testing the hypotheses in the practical section. An econometric model was constructed to analyze the impact of economic uncertainty, represented by a combination of relevant variables (unemployment, inequality of income distribution, women's education levels), on fertility, encompassing 27 EU countries from 2012 to 2021. The estimation results, consistent with economic theory, demonstrate a statistically significant negative effect of unemployment rates on fertility and identify additional economic uncertainty factors contributing to this negative impact on fertility. |
