| Abstract: | Tato bakalářská práce se zaměřuje na analýzu uměleckých metod Jana Švankmajera, se zvláštním důrazem na témata imaginace, surrealismu a animačních technik. Hlav- ním cílem je prozkoumat, jak Švankmajerova tvorba překračuje tradiční filmové postupy a spojuje realitu s imaginativním světem. Teoretická část představuje osobnost Jana Švankmajera, jeho životní vlivy a umělecké směry, které formovaly jeho tvorbu. Součástí této části je popsání animačních tech- nik, které ve svých filmech využívá a opakujících se témat, kterým se věnuje napříč svojí tvorbou. Praktická část zahrnuje analýzu tří vybraných filmů – Zamilované maso, Jídlo a Něco z Alenky – s cílem prozkoumat, jak se animací běžných předmět v jeho filmech prolíná realita se surrealismem. Poznatky pak budou využity k tvorbě krátkého animovaného filmu inspirovaného filmem Zamilované maso. |

| Abstract: | This bachelor’s thesis focuses on analyzing the artistic methods of Jan Švankmajer, with a special emphasis on themes of imagination, surrealism, and animation techniques. The main objective is to explore how Švankmajer’s work transcends traditional filmmaking approaches and merges reality with the imaginative world. The theoretical part introduces Jan Švankmajer as a personality, examines his life influences and artistic movements that shaped his work, and describes the animation techniques he uses, along with the recurring themes present throughout his films. The practical part includes an analysis of three selected films – Meat Love, Food, and Alice – aiming to investigate how the animation of ordinary objects in his films intertwines reality with surrealism. The findings will then be applied to the creation of a short animated film inspired by Meat Love. |
