| Abstract: | Bakalářská práce se zabývá imigrací a kriminalitou v České republice mezi lety 2013–2023. Cílem práce je analyzovat, zda a jak imigrace ovlivňovala kriminalitu v České republice ve sledovaném období. Teoretická část práce představuje vybrané ekonomické koncepty, a jejich pohled na migraci a kriminalitu, a shrnuje zahraniční empirické studie, které se tímto vztahem zabývají. Praktická část práce prostřednictvím lineárního regresního modelu zkoumá vztah mezi imigrací a vybranými druhy kriminality. Do regresního modelu jsou zahrnuty kromě imigrace i další proměnné, které podle teoretického rámce práce ovlivňují míru kriminality. Práce dochází k závěru, že imigrace má statisticky významný vliv pro kriminalitu celkovou, majetkovou i násilnou, ale rozsah tohoto vlivu je prakticky zanedbatelný. |

| Abstract: | This bachelor’s thesis deals with immigration and crime in the Czech Republic between 2013 and 2023. The aim of the thesis is to analyze whether and how immigration influenced crime in the Czech Republic during the observed period. The theoretical part introduces selected economic concepts and their perspectives on migration and crime, as well as summarizes foreign empirical studies that explore this relationship. The practical part uses a linear regression model to examine the relationship between immigration and selected types of crime. In addition to immigration, the regression model includes other variables that, according to the theoretical framework of the thesis, affect the crime rate. The thesis concludes that immigration has a statistically significant impact on overall, property, and violent crime, but the extent of this effect is practically negligible. |
