| Abstract: | Diplomová práce zkoumá pracovní podmínky osob samostatně výdělečně činných (OSVČ) v kulturních a kreativních průmyslech, a zejména pak důvody pro volbu provozování živnosti místo například pracovního poměru. Působení jako OSVČ je prezentováno v kontextu současného celoevropského trendu prekarizace práce. V teoretické části jsou představeny zásadní rozdíly mezi provozováním živnosti a pracovním poměrem, specifika kulturních a kreativních průmyslů v České republice a také kontext chystané implementace statusu umělce do české legislativy. Výzkum vychází z kvalitativních dat získaných pomocí dotazníkového šetření od umělců a dalších kulturních pracovníků. Kvantitativní data jsou doplněna o výpovědi daných OSVČ. Cílem diplomové práce je zjistit, do jaké míry je práce v kultuře v České republice prekarizovaná, a jestli je rozhodnutí stát se OSVČ vůbec svobodné. |

| Abstract: | The thesis examines the working conditions of the self-employed in the cultural and creative industries, and in particular the reasons for choosing self-employment instead of getting employed. Self-employment is presented in the context of the current European trend of precarious work. The theoretical part presents the fundamental differences between self-employment and a salary employment, the specifics of cultural and creative industries in the Czech Republic, and the context of the upcoming implementation of the Status of the Artist into Czech legislation. The research is based on qualitative data obtained through a questionnaire survey from artists and other cultural workers. Quantitative data are supplemented by statements from the self-employed workers. The aim of the thesis is to determine to what extent work in culture in the Czech Republic is precarious and whether the decision to become self-employed is free at all. |
