Security risks and user behavior on social media regarding information sharing

The bachelor thesis deals with the assessment of the safety of social media users from the Czech Republic and Russia, which is influenced by their behavior on social networks. The aim of the thesis is to compare how the level of awareness about the collection of personal data and the perceived risks of online security affect users' behavior when sharing information on social networks in the Czech Republic and the Russian Federation, and to find out whether these factors differ depending on the cultural and legislative context. The results show that users in both countries display certain differences in their understanding of the risks associated with information sharing and behavior on social networks. The thesis contributes to a deeper understanding of the mistakes social media users make and provides recommendations for improving the level of safety on social media. The research is relevant both for professionals in the field of social networks and for the general public, as it provides valuable information about safety and the protection of personal data on social media.
