| Abstract: | Tato diplomová práce se zaměřuje na analýzu vlivu Baumolovy nákladové choroby na efektivitu daňových správ v zemích Evropské unie v období 2016–2021. Hlavním cílem práce je prozkoumat, zda jsou vyspělejší státy více postiženy tímto jevem, vzhledem k jejich vyšším mzdám v progresivních sektorech, jako je výroba nebo technologie, které těží z růstu produktivity prostřednictvím technologických inovací, nebo zda se v těchto zemích negativní vliv Baumolovy nákladové choroby na daňové správy díky těmto inovacím neprojevuje. Pomocí regresní analýzy byly zkoumány vztahy mezi investicemi do informačních a komunikačních technologií (ICT) a ekonomickou vyspělostí států. Výsledky ukazují, že vyspělejší státy mají větší podíl investic do ICT, což vede k eliminaci vlivu Baumolovy nákladové choroby na jejich daňové správy. To naznačuje, že země s vyšším HDP na obyvatele vykazují efektivnější daňové správy, což potvrzuje, že technologické inovace a vyšší ekonomická úroveň mohou pomoct zmírnit dopady Baumolovy nákladové choroby v tomto sektoru. |

| Abstract: | This thesis analyzes the impact of Baumol's cost disease on the efficiency of Tax administrations in European Union countries from 2016 to 2021. The main objective of the thesis is to examine whether more developed countries are more affected by this phenomenon due to their higher wages in progressive sectors, such as manufacturing or technology, which benefit from productivity growth through technological innovations, or whether these innovations mitigate the negative impact of Baumol's cost disease on tax administrations in these countries. Relationships between investments in information and communication technologies (ICT) and the economic development of countries were examined by regression analysis. The results show that more developed countries have a higher share of investments in ICT, which leads to a more minor impact of Baumol's cost disease on their tax administrations. This suggests that countries with higher GDP per capita exhibit more efficient tax administrations, confirming that technological innovations and higher economic levels can help mitigate the effects of Baumol's cost disease in this sector. |
