Risk analysis of the acquisition of Primátor a.s

The thesis is focused on the risk analysis of the acquisition of Primátor, a.s. The aim is to reveal the risk factors affecting the target criteria from the investor's point of view, to determine the quantitative characteristics of the risk based on the risk analysis, propose actions to treat the risks and recommend whether to accept the risks. The thesis is useful for the investor and his investment decision-making, but also for the management of the company, which can use the results in the context of risk management, strategic decision-making or as a view of possible future dynamics. The thesis is carried out from the perspective of an external analyst and the main source of data are financial statements, annual reports and other publicly available sources. The work is divided into theoretical and practical parts. The theoretical part contains an introduction of basic concepts, tools and methods, which are then applied in the practical part. The practical part begins with the introduction of the company Primátor and is followed by strategic and financial analysis, which are summarized by a SWOT analysis. Subsequent chapters are devoted to the deterministic financial plan, target criteria, risk factors, future scenarios, stochastic financial plan and Monte Carlo simulation. The final chapters of this thesis contain an overall assessment, suggestions for risk treatment measures and recommendations for the investor. According to the simulation and quantitative characteristics, I consider the risk of the investment to be reasonable at an acquisition price in the range of 100,000 - 140,000 thousand CZK. Assuming a higher risk appetite of the investor, the investment can be evaluated as acceptable even at a price slightly higher than 140,000 thousand CZK.
