The final project of the MBA program Data & Analytics for Business Management focuses on a business analysis of the existing situation of the purchasing process at Ušetřeno.cz and its optimization. The goal of the MBA project is to improve access to high-quality procurement data for the purposes of regular managerial reporting and to support the ongoing transition toward a data-driven organization. The MBA project is divided into three interconnected parts. The first part focuses on analyzing the current purchasing process, identifying weaknesses, and proposing a new, more sustainable and transparent model. The second part addresses the update of the internal policy document, which reflects the newly defined process and serves to unify procurement-related rules across the company. The third part presents a proposed structure for managerial reporting of procurement data, enabling systematic use of consolidated data sources to support management decision-making in the area of purchasing. This MBA project delivers a comprehensive proposal for redesigning the purchasing process, updating the internal policy (directive), and, importantly, providing a proof of concept for managerial reporting of procurement data. All proposed measures aim to enhance transparency, efficiency, cost control, and strategic development of the company – not only within procurement but across broader business operations.
