| Abstract: | Diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou globálních hodnotových řetězců v automobilovém průmyslu České republiky a Spolkové republiky Německo. Pomocí komparativní analýzy text porovnává míru a povahu zapojení do globálních hodnotových řetězců a dále řeší dopady zelené transformace a pandemie covid-19 na sledované odvětví. Teoretická část představuje konceptuální rámec globálních hodnotových řetězců, jejich měření a specifika automobilového průmyslu jako odvětví důležitého pro Českou republiku i Německo. Následně se práce věnuje výrobním kapacitám a ekonomickému významu automobilového odvětví v obou zemích. Popsána je i struktura dodavatelského řetězce a inovace a výzvy, kterým tento sektor čelí. V závěru dochází k samotné komparaci participace České republiky a Německa v globálních hodnotových řetězcích automobilového průmyslu primárně pomocí ukazatelů přidané hodnoty. |

| Abstract: | The thesis deals with the issue of global value chains in the automotive industry of the Czech Republic and the Federal Republic of Germany. Using a comparative analysis, the text compares the degree and nature of involvement in global value chains and further addresses the impacts of the green transformation and the COVID-19 pandemic on the monitored sector. The theoretical part presents the conceptual framework of global value chains, their measurement and the specifics of the automotive industry as an important industry for the Czech Republic and Germany. Subsequently, the thesis focuses on the production capacities and economic importance of the automotive sector in both countries. The structure of the supply chain and the innovations and challenges faced by this sector are also described. In the conclusion, the participation of the Czech Republic and Germany in global value chains of the automotive industry is compared primarily using added value indicators. |
