| Abstract: |
Tato práce pojednává o veřejném dluhu Spojených států amerických. Konkrétně zkoumá udržitelnost tohoto fenoménu na základě kvalitativní analýzy. Ta je provedena skrze konceptualizaci veřejného dluhu popisující jeho charakteristiky a dopady na základní ekonomické veličiny a výzkum kritérií které lze pro vyhodnocování udržitelnosti veřejného zadlužení využít. Tyto poznatky jsou pak aplikované na případovou studii USA, v níž je nejprve prozkoumána jeho současná situace v rámci zkoumaného fenoménu a následně vyhodnocena jeho stabilita a udržitelnost. Výsledky těchto pozorování jsou ještě kvantifikovány pomocí touto prací vytvořené škály. Celá případová studie USA je dále porovnána s ostatními ekonomikami, díky čemuž je zasazena do globálního kontextu. |

| Abstract: |
This thesis discusses the public debt of the United States of America. Specifically, it examines the sustainability of this phenomenon through a qualitative analysis. This is conducted via a conceptualization of public debt, describing its characteristics and impact on key economic indicators, as well as through an exploration of the criteria that can be used to assess the sustainability of public debt. These findings are then applied to a case study of the USA, which first investigates the current situation within the context of the examined phenomenon and subsequently evaluates its stability and sustainability. The results of these observations are further quantified using a scale developed within this thesis. The entire case study of the USA is then placed in a global context by comparison with other selected economies. |
