Tato diplomová práce se zabývá rolí státu v inovativnosti čtyř středoevropských zemí – Česka, Maďarska, Polska a Slovenska. Přestože tyto státy (ještě) obvykle neřadíme mezi lídry v oblasti inovace, je vzhledem k důležitosti inovativnosti pro ekonomiku vhodné analyzovat i stav těchto zemí. Cílem první kapitoly je poskytnout ucelený a kritický přehled literatury o inovační a strukturální politice a následně nabídnout vhled do inovativnosti těchto zemí. Druhá kapitola si klade za cíl porovnat je v atributech inovačních systémů – podpora vzdělávání, podpora podnikatelského prostředí a fiskální podpora vědy a výzkumu. Třetí a poslední kapitola pak nabízí demonstraci role státu v inovativnosti na základě analýzy hloubkového rozhovoru se startupem z V4. |

| Abstract: |
This thesis examines the role of the state in innovation in four Central European countries – Czechia, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia. Although these countries are not usually ranked among the leaders in innovation (yet), given the importance of innovation for the economy, it is appropriate to analyze the state of these countries. The aim of the first chapter is to provide a comprehensive and critical review of the literature on innovation and structural policies and then to offer insights into the innovativeness of these countries. The second chapter aims to compare them on the attributes of innovation systems – education support, business support and fiscal support of R&D. The third and final chapter then offers a demonstration of the role of the state in innovativeness based on an analysis of an in-depth interview with a V4 start-up. |
