Tato bakalářská práce se věnuje udržitelnosti v námořní dopravě prostřednictvím analýzy ESG strategií vybraných rejdařských společností z Evropy a Asie. Cílem práce je porovnat jejich přístupy v jednotlivých oblastech ESG a zaměřit se na to, jak tyto strategie ovlivňují fungování firem. Teoretická část přibližuje základní koncept ESG a aktuální trendy v odvětví. Praktická část je založena na případových studiích, které vycházejí z reportů udržitelnosti daných firem za rok 2023, a zahrnuje srovnání přístupů nejprve v rámci jednotlivých regionů, následně jejich finální meziregionální porovnání. Součástí práce jsou také doporučení pro zlepšení ESG výkonnosti v námořním sektoru. |

| Abstract: |
This bachelor thesis focuses on sustainability in maritime transport through the analysis of ESG strategies adopted by selected shipping companies from Europe and Asia. The aim is to compare their approaches across the three ESG pillars and explore how these strategies influence company performance. The theoretical part introduces the ESG concept and current trends in the sector. The practical part is based on case studies drawn from the 2023 sustainability reports of the selected companies and includes a comparison of approaches within each region, followed by their final interregional comparison. The thesis also provides practical recommendations for improving ESG performance in the maritime sector. |
