Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá problematikou identity Kamaly Harris v prezidentských volbách v roce 2024. Genderová i etnická identita demokratické kandidátky, která nahradila v prezidentské kandidatuře Joea Bidena, vyvolala diskuse nejen v americké společnosti. Cílem práce je analyzovat roli genderu a smíšeného etnického původu Kamaly Harris v prezidentské kampani. Práce se zaměřuje na využití těchto identit v kampaních obou kandidátů a pomocí analýzy průzkumů veřejného mínění identifikuje jejich vliv na voliče. Dále je provedena analýza mediálního pokrytí celé problematiky, která poskytne širší pohled na roli identit Harris ve společnosti. |

This bachelor's thesis deals with the issue of Kamala Harris's identity in the 2024 presidential election. The gender and ethnic identity of the Democratic candidate, who replaced Joe Biden in the presidential candidacy, has sparked discussions not only in American society. The aim of the thesis is to analyze the role of Kamala Harris' gender and mixed ethnicity in the presidential campaign. The thesis focuses on the use of these identities in the campaigns of both candidates and, using the analysis of public opinion polls, identifies their influence on voters. Furthermore, an analysis of media coverage of the entire issue is carried out, which will provide a broader view of the role of Harris' identities in society. |
