| Abstract: | Diplomová práce se zabývá vlivem čínských přímých zahraničních investic na vietnamskou ekonomiku. V úvodní části je vymezen význam PZI v rozvojových zemích a motivace investorů, přičemž zvláštní pozornost je věnována postavení Číny v regionu jihovýchodní Asie a její geopolitické strategii, včetně iniciativy Belt and Road. Praktická část mapuje vývoj objemu a sektorového zaměření čínských investic ve Vietnamu, přičemž analyzuje jejich ekonomické, sociální a environmentální dopady. Součástí práce jsou případové studie vybraných čínských projektů, které ilustrují přínosy i rizika těchto investic. Závěrem práce autor hodnotí rozdíly mezi čínskými a ostatními zahraničními investicemi a upozorňuje na potřebu efektivní regulace ze strany vietnamské vlády. |

| Abstract: | The thesis focuses on the impact of Chinese foreign direct investments (FDI) on the Vietnamese economy. The introduction defines the significance of FDI in developing countries and the motivations of investors, with particular attention paid to China's position in Southeast Asia and its geopolitical strategy, including the Belt and Road Initiative. The practical part maps the development of the volume and sectoral focus of Chinese investments in Vietnam, analyzing their economic, social, and environmental impacts. The thesis includes case studies of selected Chinese projects, which illustrate both the benefits and risks of these investments. The conclusion evaluates the differences between Chinese and other foreign investments and highlights the need for effective regulation by the Vietnamese government. |
