| Abstract: | Tato diplomová práce se zabývá analýzou role stavebního sektoru v kontextu irské hospodářské krize v letech 2005–2015. Cílem bylo zjistit, jaký vztah existoval mezi hrubým domácím produktem (HDP) a vybranými ukazateli spojenými se stavebním sektorem, a ověřit hypotézu, zda měl stavební sektor v tomto období statisticky významný vliv na ekonomický vývoj země. V teoretické části práce byly definovány faktory ovlivňující hospodářský růst a recesi, vymezen pojem ekonomické krize a analyzován význam stavebního sektoru v rámci ekonomiky. Praktická část zahrnovala regresní a korelační analýzu, využívající makroekonomická a stavební data, přičemž byla ověřována stacionarita časových řad a identifikována multikolinearita mezi proměnnými. Výsledky ukázaly, že investice do stavebního sektoru pozitivně ovlivnily HDP, zatímco růst cen nemovitostí měl negativní dopad. Regresní model potvrdil statistickou významnost vybraných proměnných a vykázal vysokou vysvětlovací schopnost (R² = 95 %). Diplomová práce tak potvrzuje, že stavební sektor měl v Irsku v analyzovaném období zásadní vliv na vývoj hospodářství, a zdůrazňuje důležitost efektivní regulace stavebního a finančního trhu pro předcházení podobným krizím v budoucnu. |

| Abstract: | This thesis analyses the role of the construction sector in the context of the Irish economic crisis in 2005–2015. The aim was to determine the relationship between gross domestic product (GDP) and selected indicators related to the construction sector, and to test the hypothesis of whether the construction sector had a statistically significant impact on the country's economic development during this period. The theoretical part of the thesis defined the factors influencing economic growth and recession, defined the concept of economic crisis and analysed the importance of the construction sector within the economy. The practical part included regression and correlation analysis using macroeconomic and construction data, while the stationarity of the time series was verified and multicollinearity between variables was identified. The results showed that investments in the construction sector had a positive impact on GDP, while the property price growth sector had a negative impact. The regression model confirmed the statistical significance of the selected variables and showed high explanatory power (R² = 95%). The thesis thus confirms that the construction sector had a fundamental influence on the development of the economy in Ireland during the analyzed period, and emphasizes the importance of effective regulation of the construction and financial markets to prevent similar crises in the future. |
