Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá problematikou plýtvání potravinami z pohledu vysokoškolských studentů v České republice a ve Spojených státech amerických. Cílem práce bylo na základě literární rešerše a vlastního kvantitativního výzkumu porovnat vnímání plýtvání potravin v obou zemích a identifikovat klíčové faktory, které toto vnímání ovlivňují. Teoretická část práce se věnuje kulturním, environmentálním a ekonomickým aspektům spojeným s plýtváním potravin, včetně rozdílů ve stravovacích návycích, hodnotách a legislativě. Praktická část vychází z dotazníkového šetření provedeného mezi studenty vysokých škol v ČR a USA. Výsledky ukazují na výrazné rozdíly ve vnímání příčin plýtvání, motivacích ke změně chování i ve využívání dostupných nástrojů ke snižování potravinového odpadu. V závěru práce jsou uvedena doporučení, jak lze přispět k větší informovanosti a efektivnímu snižování plýtvání potravin v cílové skupině studentů. |

| Abstract: |
This bachelor’s thesis deals with the issue of food waste from the perspective of university students in the Czech Republic and the United States of America. The aim of the thesis was to compare the perception of food waste in both countries and identify key factors that influence it, based on a literature review and original quantitative research. The theoretical part focuses on cultural, environmental, and economic aspects related to food waste, including differences in eating habits, values, and legislation. The practical part is based on a questionnaire survey conducted among university students in the Czech Republic and the USA. The results reveal significant differences in the perception of causes of food waste, motivations for behavioral change, and the use of available tools to reduce food waste. The final part of the thesis presents recommendations on how to increase awareness and effectively reduce food waste in the target group of students. |
