Bakalářská práce se zabývá hodnocením inovativnosti Spojeného království se zaměřením na startupový ekosystém. Spojené království patří dlouhodobě mezi inovační lídry světa, a to nejen díky skvělému podnikatelskému prostředí. První kapitola se zaměřuje na ekonomický význam inovací jako klíčového faktoru růstu a posilování konkurenceschopnosti. Dále definuje pojem inovace a inovativnost a analyzuje vybrané inovační indikátory, přičemž hodnotí postavení Spojeného království v předních světových i evropských žebříčcích. Druhá kapitola se věnuje analýze britského startupového ekosystému, sleduje životní cyklus startupů a ilustruje ho na příkladech úspěšných firem. Práce vychází ze sekundární analýzy dat (OECD, WIPO, UK Government) a je doplněna autorskými grafy, tabulkami a schématy. |

| Abstract: |
This bachelor thesis assesses the United Kingdom's innovation performance, with a focus on the start-up ecosystem. The United Kingdom has long been one of the world's innovation leaders, not least because of its excellent business environment. The first chapter focuses on the economic importance of innovation as a key driver of growth and strengthening competitiveness. It then defines the concepts of innovation and innovativeness, analyses selected innovation indicators and assesses the United Kingdom's position in leading global and European rankings. The second chapter analyses the British start-up ecosystem, traces the start-up life cycle and illustrates it with examples of successful companies. The work is based on secondary data analysis (OECD, WIPO, UK Government) and is supplemented by the authors' own graphs, tables and diagrams. |
