| Abstract: |
Tato práce se zabývá vývojem tří pojmů, genocidy, etnických čistek a femicidy, v rámci mezinárodního práva a zkoumá je prostřednictvím teorie cyklu norem. Cílem je zjistit, v jaké fázi normativního začlenění se tyto pojmy aktuálně nacházejí a jaké faktory ovlivňují jejich právní uznání. Práce zdůrazňuje význam viditelnosti problému, činnosti aktérů prosazujících normy, dále význam institucionální podpory a právní srozumitelnosti jako klíčových faktorů ovlivňujících úspěšnost přijetí nových mezinárodních norem. Zatímco genocida je již plně kodifikována, etnické čistky a femicida se nacházejí v rané fázi normativního vývoje, přičemž čelí překážkám v podobě právní nejasnosti, politického odporu a společenské nejednotnosti. |

| Abstract: |
This thesis examines the development of three concepts, genocide, ethnic cleansing, and femicide, within the framework of international law, using norm lifecycle theory as its analytical lens. The goal is to determine the current stage of norm internalization for each concept and to identify the key factors influencing their legal recognition. The thesis highlights the importance of problem salience, norm entrepreneurs, institutional support, and legal clarity as crucial factors in successfully adopting new international norms. While genocide is already fully codified, ethnic cleansing and femicide remain in the early stages of normative development, facing obstacles such as legal ambiguity, political resistance, and societal fragmentation. |
