Evaluation of Crisis Management Procedures and Their Proactive Elements in a Selected Organization

This bachelor's thesis addresses the issue of crisis management in the hospitality industry. The literature review reflects current developments in hotel management with regard to crisis response. Furthermore, it discusses crisis management with a particular focus on its proactive components that contribute to the prevention of potential crises. In the applied part of the thesis, the main economic and operational risks faced by hotels will be identified, both in routine operations and during crises (such as pandemics, economic recessions, or natural disasters). The outcomes of the thesis focus on a specific crisis situation in the hotel VZ Měřín, where the hotel’s responses and employed strategies will be analyzed. The research includes data analysis aimed at evaluating the effectiveness of crisis strategies and proposing recommendations for improving crisis management in the hotel sector. The conclusions will contribute to a better understanding of crisis management in hospitality and to enhancing the resilience of hotel organizations against crises.
