| Abstract: | Diplomová práce se zabývá vybranými aspekty demografie sportovního svazu ve věkových kategoriích žactva, dorostu a juniorů. Zkoumaným sportovním svazem je Český svaz biatlonu a celá tato práce se tedy týká zimního olympijského sportu – biatlonu. V této práci je využíván rozsáhlý datový soubor, který obsahuje data pro biatlonisty a biatlonistky ročníků narození 1991-2010 v sezónách 2005-2024. Konkrétně se diplomová práce zabývá mládežnickými kategoriemi 14-21 let. Cílem této diplomové práce je základní zmapování problematiky analýzy populace Českého svazu biatlonu, charakteristika věku, ve kterém biatlonisté nejčastěji ukončují svou sportovní kariéru. Práce také poskytuje základní pohled na biatlonovou populaci z hlediska pohlaví a vývoje v čase. Výsledky analýzy v diplomové práci jsou podpořeny dotazníkovým šetřením mezi biatlonovými trenéry. Tato anketa doplňuje zjištěné výsledky a ukazuje, že mezi biatlonovými trenéry jsou názory na danou problematiku velmi shodné. |

| Abstract: | The diploma thesis deals with selected aspects of the demography of the sports federation in the age categories of youth and juniors. The sports federation under study is the Czech Biathlon Union and the whole thesis is therefore related to the winter olympic sport – biathlon. This thesis uses a large dataset that contains data for biathletes of birth years 1991-2010 in the seasons 2005-2024. Specifically this thesis deals with youth categories 14-21 years old. The aim of this thesis is to provide a basic mapping of the population analysis of the Czech Biathlon Union, to characterize the age at which biathletes most often end their sport career and to provide a basic view of the biathlon population in terms of gender and development over time. The results of the analysis in this thesis are supported by a questionnaire survey of biathlon coaches. This survey complements the findings and shows that there is a high degree of agreement among biathlon coaches on the issue. |
