UX design of web and mobile application for Cyclo Point service

The thesis addresses the issue of user experience and provides a theoretical overview of principles and procedures leading to the design of user-friendly solutions for applications on both computer and mobile devices. The main objective of the thesis is the design of a high-fidelity prototype of a new web application for the Cyklo Point service, which meets user needs, adheres to UX principles, and simultaneously addresses the issues of the currently used service application. The next part of the thesis focuses on research examining the current state of service at the Cyklo Point branch in Jičín. Through semi-structured interviews with three employees and user testing of the currently used application, the main problems faced by employees in the service process are identified. Based on the research findings, a new low-fidelity solution for the Cyklo Point service web application for both computer and mobile devices is proposed. The proposed low-fidelity prototype is then tested with users, after which a new final high-fidelity application solution is created. The high-fidelity prototype is tested again with users, leading to final adjustments to the prototype to meet all user requirements. The main output of the thesis is a high-fidelity prototype of a web application for desktop and mobile devices, which meets the needs of Cyklo Point employees, adheres to UX principles, and addresses the shortcomings of the currently used application. The final high-fidelity prototype serves as an essential foundation for developers during the implementation of the new application for the Cyklo Point service, thereby simplifying and streamlining the development process. The results of the thesis are beneficial for UX designers as a theoretical framework with practical procedures for designing user-friendly and responsive solutions. The thesis contributes to the advancement of knowledge in the UX field and can serve as a source of information and inspiration for other students and professionals in this area. The findings from the research in this thesis may also be beneficial to employees or businesses involved in servicing bicycles and skis.
