Development of BI solution for a company operating in the real estate market

This diploma thesis focuses on the implementation of a prototype of an interactive dashboard for managerial purposes in a company specializing in the collection and analysis of data from the residential real estate market, particularly new housing developments. The primary objective of the thesis is to develop a prototype of a clear and user-friendly tool that will support company management in more effective decision-making through the visualization of key metrics such as Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR), churn rate, and other indicators related to product performance and company activities. The partial goals include the analysis of company processes, a description of the current state of the company's enterprise architecture using the ArchiMate language, identification and visualization of key metrics, and the validation of the developed solution in cooperation with company leadership. This thesis also contains a description of the company’s business process, including the sale of licenses for the Datazeen analytics application and custom one-time analyses. The theoretical part includes a literature review focused on business intelligence in the real estate sector and an analysis of current trends in the implementation of data visualizations. The technical solution adheres to the company’s requirements for data security and the anonymization of sensitive information. The dashboard prototype is designed to meet the specific needs of the company’s management with regard to optimal integration into the existing infrastructure and includes user consultations to ensure its practical applicability. The final solution is built using modern technologies such as Snowflake, the ETL tool Keboola, and the Metabase visualization platform. The solution was validated by company management, which confirmed its value for strategic decision-making and daily operational management. The thesis also provides recommendations for further development of the dashboard prototype, including the integration of new data sources and the implementation of advanced analytical functions that would support more accurate forecasting and long-term optimization of the company’s business processes.
