Design and Implementation of an Analytical Solution in a Telecommunications Company

The topic of this diploma thesis is the design and implementation of an analytical solution for a telecommunication company. The main goal of this diploma is to develop an analytical overview for effective monitoring of telecommunications traffic and to provide materials for timely prediction of key phenomena, specifically fraudulent traffic, and profitable terminations. To support this goal, literature research was conducted, covering relevant areas for developing analytical solutions in a telecommunications industry. The result of this thesis is a functional solution created in Power BI, focused on monitoring and evaluating telecommunication traffic, including related phenomena. The primary objective of the thesis—the development of an analytical overview in the form of dashboards—was fully accomplished. Furthermore, the resulting dashboards serve as a solid foundation for the early prediction of selected phenomena. Accordingly, both main goals of the thesis were successfully met.
