| Abstract: |
Cílem této diplomové práce je postihnout míru konkurenceschopnosti mezi Prahou a Stockholmem včetně s následným srovnáním s průměrem EU. Dále na základě provedené analýzy zmínit rozhodující faktory a doporučení pro jednotlivé regiony. Teoretická část práce zahrnuje pojmy jako jsou klastrový přístup, triple helix model, Porterův diamant, metodika sestavení kompozitního indikátoru nebo konkrétní kompozitní indexy používané na srovnávání zemí. V analytickém úseku práce je rozebrána situace v NUTS 2 regionech Praha a Stockholm, respektive v České republice a Švédsku, prostřednictvím analýzy dat pocházejících z veřejných databází typu Eurostat či Českého statistického úřadu. V neposlední řadě tato část práce popisuje za pomoci metody klastrového mapování odvětvovou strukturu na území vybraných regionů. Výstupem diplomové práce je posouzení konkurenceschopnosti mezi regiony v kontextu Evropské unie a doporučení, která by mohly napomoci ke zlepšení situace. |

| Abstract: |
The aim of this thesis is to examine the level of competitiveness between Prague and Stockholm, including a comparison with the EU average, and to discuss the decisive factors and recommendations for each region. The theoretical part of the thesis includes concepts such as the cluster approach, the triple helix model, Porter's diamond, the methodology of constructing a composite indicator or specific composite indices used for comparing countries. The analytical section of the thesis analyses the situation in the NUTS 2 regions of Prague and Stockholm, respectively in the Czech Republic and Sweden, by analysing data from public databases such as Eurostat or the Czech Statistical Office. Last but not least, this part of the thesis describes the sectoral structure in the territory of the selected regions using the cluster mapping method. The output of the thesis is an assessment of competitiveness between regions in the context of the European Union and recommendations that could help to improve the situation. |
