Hlavním cílem práce je analyzování vlivu domácí výhody na 4 vybrané statistické ukazatele, kterými jsou xG, xGA, GF a GA. Práce zahrnuje porovnávání domácích a venkovních dat pomocí statistických testů a zjišťování, jestli jsou výsledky testů významné. Dalším cílem práce je určit míru vlivu covidové sezóny na domácí výhodu a výše zmíněné ukazatele. Práce má celkově čtenáři objasnit význam domácí výhody a její vliv na fotbalové zápasy. Analýza vycházela z dat top 4 evropských fotbalových lig za posledních 5 kompletních sezón. Práce využívá Mann-Whitneyho U test, Benjamini-Hochbergovu korekční metodu a Q-Q plot při práci s daty. Jedním ze závěru práce je, že domácí výhoda má významný vliv na vybrané statistické ukazatele. Vliv covidové sezóny na domácí výhodu a na výše zmíněné ukazatele byl prokázán, tři statistické testy se prokázaly jako významné. |

| Abstract: |
The primary objective of this study was to analyze the impact of home advantage on four selected performance metrics, those being xG, xGA, GF, and GA. The analysis involved comparing home and away data using statistical tests to determine whether observed differences were significant. A secondary objective was to assess the effect of the Covid‐affected season on home advantage and the same performance metrics. The work aims to clarify for readers the significance of home advantage and its influence on football match outcomes. Data from the top four European football leagues over the last five complete seasons were used. The methodology employed the Mann-Whitney U test, the Benjamini-Hochberg correction, and Q-Q plots for data assessment. One of the key findings is that home advantage exerts a statistically significant effect on the selected metrics. Furthermore, the impact of the Covid‐affected season on home advantage and the chosen metrics was supported by three statistical tests yielding significant results. |
