| Abstract: | Bakalářská práce se zabývá vývojem a strukturou devizových rezerv České národní banky v letech 1993 až 2024. Cílem práce je přiblížit, jakým způsobem ČNB postupně měnila složení svých rezerv, zejména diverzifikací do různých měn a aktiv. Součástí zkoumání je rovněž analýza makroekonomických ukazatelů v kontextu významných historických ekonomických událostí, které ovlivnily velikost a správu rezerv. Pro lepší přehlednost je zkoumané období rozděleno do tří časových etap. V závěru praktické části jsou výsledky shrnuty a porovnány jako celek. Na základě provedené analýzy byla vyvrácena hypotéza, že diverzifikace devizových rezerv má vliv na stabilní hospodářské výsledky ČNB. Lze tedy konstatovat, že diverzifikace sama o sobě nemá přímý a rozhodující vliv na stabilitu hospodářských výsledků ČNB. Zároveň bylo zjištěno, že zásadním faktorem je vývoj směnného kurzu. Závěr práce přináší doporučení pro budoucí správu devizových rezerv. |

| Abstract: | The bachelor’s thesis focuses on the development and structure of the Czech National Bank’s foreign exchange reserves between 1993 and 2024. The aim of the thesis is to illustrate how the CNB gradually adjusted the composition of its reserves, particularly through diversification into various currencies and assets. The research also includes an analysis of macroeconomic indicators in the context of significant historical economic events that influenced the size and management of the reserves. For greater clarity, the examined period is divided into three time phases. In the final part of the practical section, the results are summarized and compared as a whole. Based on the conducted analysis, the hypothesis that the diversification of foreign exchange reserves affects the CNB’s stable economic performance was refuted. It can therefore be concluded that diversification alone does not have a direct and decisive impact on the stability of the CNB’s economic results. At the same time, it was found that the exchange rate development is a key influencing factor. The thesis concludes with recommendations for the future management of foreign exchange reserves. |
