| Abstract: | Tato bakalářská práce se zaměřuje na tvorbu autorského kaligrafického písma pro český jazyk, s důrazem na integraci tradičních kaligrafických technik s požadavky digitální typografie. Práce popisuje proces tvorby písma, od skicování až po digitalizaci v softwaru FontLab, a zaměřuje se na výzvy české diakritiky, ligatury a konstrukce znaků. Výsledky práce zahrnují metodiky pro optimalizaci diakritiky, umístění akcentů a tvorbu ligatur. Byla implementována i metoda testování čitelnosti písma v různých digitálních formátech, což zajišťuje jeho praktickou použitelnost. V rámci praktické části bylo vytvořeno písmo, které kombinuje tradiční estetiku ručně psaného písma s nároky moderní digitální typografie. Práce dokumentuje celý proces tvorby písma a poskytuje návod pro budoucí návrháře. Hlavním přínosem je navržený workflow, který může sloužit jako inspirace pro další autory písem. |

| Abstract: | This bachelor’s thesis focuses on the creation of custom calligraphic fonts for the Czech language, emphasizing the integration of traditional calligraphic techniques with the demands of digital typography. The thesis describes the process of font creation, from sketching to digitization in FontLab software, and addresses the challenges of Czech diacritics, ligatures, and character construction. The results include methodologies for optimizing diacritics, accent placement, and ligature creation. A readability testing method was also implemented for various digital formats, ensuring the font's practical usability. The practical part of the work includes the creation of a font that combines the traditional aesthetics of handwritten letters with the requirements of digital typography. The thesis documents the entire font creation process and provides a guide for future designers. The main contribution is the proposed workflow, which can serve as an inspiration for other font designers. |
