Design and implementation of a music artist’s website

The aim of this bachelor’s thesis is to develop a personalized website for a specific music artist, more accurately DJ and producer of electronic music and instrumental tracks across various genres. The website will primarily serve as a platform for communicating with fans, presenting artistic work, and strengthening the artist’s personal brand, which is reflected in the emphasis on specific design elements and user-friendliness. The thesis is divided into two main parts. The first part analyses the technologies used, focusing primarily on TypeScript and React.js. Their core principles, advantages, and the rationale behind their selection compared to alternative solutions are thoroughly explained. The second part focuses on UX and the creation of an interactive prototype of the website using the Figma tool, which enables detailed user interface design and simulation of key features. Each functionality is justified regarding the needs of the fanbase and specific project requirements, such as intuitive navigation, access to multimedia content (music playback or video clips), and integration with the artist’s social media. After the prototype is completed, the actual website development follows, implemented using the Kanban methodology. This approach is well-suited for individual development and allows for a flexible and iterative workflow. Emphasis is also placed on testing to ensure flawless functionality and optimization of the user experience across various devices and web browsers. The outcome of the project will be a user-friendly and intuitive website that provides fast access to multimedia content and reinforces a positive impression for visitors.
