| Abstract: |
This thesis analyses decision-making factors of international student post-study stay or departure in the Czech Republic. Drawing on survey data provided by the Czech National Agency for International Education and Research from 4,028 international degree-seeking students, it investigates academic satisfaction, social integration, and economic determinants. Key findings indicate that high social integration and a satisfying academic experience are key sources of stay intentions for students. Economic motives are an important second driver. The analysis also compares differences in these determinants between demographic subgroups and in interactions between academic and social factors. The thesis has implications for Czech higher education institutions and policymakers in developing conditions for post-study stay of international graduates for the benefit of international graduates and for the host nation. |

Tato bakalářská práce analyzuje faktory ovlivňující rozhodování zahraničních studentů o setrvání či odchodu z České republiky po ukončení studia. Na základě dat z průzkumu poskytnutých Domem zahraniční spolupráce (DZS) u 4,028 zahraničních studentů prezenčního studia zkoumá akademickou spokojenost, sociální integraci a ekonomické determinanty. Klíčová zjištění naznačují, že vysoká míra sociální integrace a uspokojivá akademická zkušenost jsou hlavními důvody záměru studentů setrvat. Ekonomické motivy představují důležitý sekundární faktor. Analýza rovněž porovnává rozdíly v těchto faktorech mezi demografickými podskupinami a v interakcích mezi akademickými a sociálními faktory. Závěry práce mají implikace pro české vysokoškolské instituce a tvůrce politik při vytváření podmínek pro setrvání zahraničních absolventů po studiu, a to ve prospěch jak samotných absolventů, tak hostitelské země. |
