This diploma thesis investigates the Czech startup ecosystem's development, structure, and challenges, providing a comprehensive theoretical and practical analysis grounded in theoretical frameworks and stakeholder interviews. The theoretical part explores startup methodologies such as the Lean Startup, Design Thinking, and the Business Model Canvas, alongside a breakdown of key development phases, from ideation to exit. It further contextualizes the Czech environment through international comparisons with the United States and Spain, focusing on investment flows, regulatory constraints, ESOP adoption, and digital readiness. The practical part is based on qualitative research conducted through semi-structured interviews with startup founders and ecosystem stakeholders, identifying key bottlenecks, policy gaps, and cultural mindsets affecting growth. Findings are translated into actionable recommendations for entrepreneurs, investors, and policymakers to support the creation of globally competitive startups in the Czech Republic. |

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá vývojem, strukturou a výzvami českého startupového ekosystému a poskytuje komplexní teoretickou a praktickou analýzu založenou na teoretických rámcích a rozhovorech se zúčastněnými stranami. Teoretická část zkoumá metodiky startupů, jako jsou Lean Startup, Design Thinking a Business Model Canvas, spolu s rozdělením klíčových fází vývoje, od nápadu až po exit. Dále kontextualizuje české prostředí prostřednictvím mezinárodního srovnání se Spojenými státy a Španělskem, přičemž se zaměřuje na investiční toky, regulační omezení, přijetí ESOP a digitální připravenost. Praktická část je založena na kvalitativním výzkumu provedeném prostřednictvím polostrukturovaných rozhovorů se zakladateli startupů a zúčastněnými stranami ekosystému, který identifikuje klíčová úzká místa, nedostatky v politice a kulturní myšlení ovlivňující růst. Zjištění jsou převedena do realizovatelných doporučení pro podnikatele, investory a tvůrce politik na podporu vzniku globálně konkurenceschopných startupů v České republice. |
