Bakalářská práce analyzuje využitelnost institutu preventivní restrukturalizace na konkrétním příkladu společnosti Liberty Ostrava. Cílem bylo ověřit, zda podnik splňoval podmínky pro zahájení tohoto procesu a proč nedošlo k jeho úspěšnému dokončení. Teoretická část vymezuje základní pojmy z oblasti krizového řízení a přibližuje vývoj restrukturalizace v českém právu. Praktická část využívá metody systému Finanční zdraví, zejména analýzu mezery krytí a poměrových ukazatelů. Výsledky ukázaly vysoké riziko úpadku již v roce 2021 a poukazují na částečné nesplnění formálních požadavků zákona. Mezi hlavní příčiny neúspěchu restrukturalizace patří špatná finanční situace společnosti a strukturální problémy celého hutního odvětví. Přínosem práce je ukázka aplikace signálů včasného varování jako praktického nástroje pro hodnocení podnikové stability. |

| Abstract: |
The bachelor thesis analyses the applicability of the institute of preventive restructuring using the case study of Liberty Ostrava. The aim was to assess whether the company met the legal conditions for initiating the process and to identify the reasons for its unsuccessful outcome. The theoretical part defines key concepts of corporate crisis management and outlines the development of restructuring in Czech law. The practical part applies methods from the Financial Health System, focusing on the coverage gap analysis and selected financial ratios. The findings indicate a high risk of insolvency as early as 2021 and suggest partial non-compliance with the formal legal requirements. The main causes of the failure include the company’s poor financial condition and structural problems within the entire metallurgy sector. The contribution of the thesis lies in demonstrating the use of early warning signals as a practical tool for assessing corporate financial health and stability. |
