| Abstract: | Cílem práce je prozkoumat společensky odpovědné aktivity podnikatelského rodu Lannů v 19. století a zhodnotit, do jaké míry lze jejich činnost chápat jako předchůdce moderního konceptu společenské odpovědnosti firem (CSR). Teoretická část představuje vývoj konceptu CSR, včetně Carrollovy pyramidy a modelu Triple Bottom Line. Praktická část je založena na případové studii, která byla zpracována pomocí tematické analýzy dobových dokumentů a odborné literatury. Výzkum vycházející z hermeneutického přístupu se zaměřuje na identifikaci forem CSR, které Lannové vykazovali, a na hlubší interpretaci jejich motivací. Výsledky ukazují, že Lannové skutečně představují historický předobraz moderní společenské odpovědnosti odpovídající principům Carrollovy pyramidy, nikoliv však konceptu TBL. Práce tak přispívá k vyvrácení představy, že CSR je výlučně produktem moderní doby. |

| Abstract: | The aim of this thesis is to examine the socially responsible activities of the entrepreneurial Lanna family in the 19th century and to assess the extent to which their actions can be considered a historical precursor of the modern concept of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). The theoretical part outlines the development of the CSR concept, including Carroll’s pyramid and the Triple Bottom Line model. The practical part is based on a case study developed through thematic analysis of historical documents and scholarly literature. The research, grounded in a hermeneutic approach, focuses on identifying the forms of CSR demonstrated by the Lanna family and on a deeper interpretation of their underlying motivations. The results show that the Lanna family can indeed be seen as an early embodiment of CSR as defined by Carroll’s pyramid, though not by the Triple Bottom Line framework. The thesis thus challenges the notion that corporate social responsibility is exclusively a modern phenomenon. |
