Logistical aspects of car import in a selected company

This bachelor thesis deals with logistics processes in a chosen company importing electric vehicles. The aim was to propose new solutions to reduce the overall time of the logistics process. The thesis is methodologically based on theoretical approaches to business logistics (purchasing, inventories, warehousing, transport) taken from the academic literature and an analysis of the company's operations based on primary data from interviews with company representatives. The analysis revealed a stable logistics system, but with several bottlenecks, particularly in the processes of vehicle searching, the use of reverse transportation and unsystematic inventory management. Based on the findings, solutions were proposed with the potential to reduce transport times and manage higher sales volumes more efficiently. Their real impact is limited by the lack of internal data, which requires their assessment and more specific calculations by the company before implementation.
