| Abstract: | Zvyšující se nároky na udržitelnost a snižování emisí v dopravě vedou Evropskou unii k zavádění stále přísnějších emisních regulací, které zásadně ovlivňují fungování automobilového průmyslu. Tyto regulace představují významný zásah do strategického plánování automobilek, avšak jejich komplexní dopady na výkonnost evropských výrobců nebyly dosud dostatečně zhodnoceny. Cílem práce je zjistit, jak emisní regulace automobilového průmyslu v EU ovlivňují evropské výrobce automobilů a navrhnout zlepšení ze stran regulátora i automobilek, která by vedla ke zvýšení výkonnosti automobilového průmyslu. Pro zhodnocení dopadů regulací na firmu Volkswagen Group a její konkurenty jsou využity statistické metody jako korelační a regresní analýza. Výsledky analýzy mimo jiné ukazují, že současné tempo elektrifikace není dostatečné ke splnění emisních cílů, a zároveň odhalují nedostatečnou připravenost energetické infrastruktury. Na základě zjištění byla navržena opatření v oblasti firemní strategie i regulace, která reflektují ekonomické i technologické výzvy spojené s přechodem na nízkoemisní mobilitu. |

| Abstract: | Growing demands for sustainability and emission reduction in transport are leading the European Union to introduce increasingly stringent emission regulations that significantly affect the functioning of the automotive industry. These regulations have a major impact on the strategic planning of car manufacturers, yet their comprehensive effect on the performance of European producers has not been sufficiently assessed. The aim of this thesis is to examine how emission regulations in the EU automotive sector influence European carmakers and to propose improvements on the part of both regulators and manufacturers that would enhance the performance of the industry. To evaluate the impact of regulations on Volkswagen Group and its competitors, statistical methods such as correlation and regression analysis are used. The results of the analysis show, among other things, that the current pace of electrification is insufficient to meet emission targets, and they also reveal the insufficient development of the energy infrastructure. Based on the findings, measures were proposed in the areas of corporate strategy and regulation, reflecting the economic and technological challenges associated with the transition to low-emission mobility. |
