| Abstract: | Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá ekonomickými podmínkami péče o historické zahrady, konkrétně na příkladu zámecké zahrady v Brandýse nad Labem. Hlavním cílem bylo porovnat náklady na pravidelnou údržbu se souhrnnými náklady na plánovanou jednorázovou rekonstrukci a ověřit předpoklad, že systematická a dlouhodobá údržba je ekonomicky výhodnější. V teoretické části je popsán historický, kulturní i ekologický význam historických zahrad, legislativní rámec jejich ochrany a možné zdroje financování. Praktická část obsahuje případovou studii brandýské zahrady, výstupy z rozhovorů s kastelánem brandýského zámku a místostarostou města, výpočet nákladů na údržbu a jejich porovnání s náklady na plánovanou rekonstrukci. Výsledky potvrdily, že pravidelná údržba je levnější z hlediska dlouhodobé udržitelnosti a zachování hodnoty památky. Výzkum navíc poukázal na možnou mezeru mezi legislativními požadavky a reálnou praxí. |

| Abstract: | This bachelor’s thesis focuses on the economic conditions of maintaining historical gardens, using the castle garden in Brandýs nad Labem as a case study. The primary aim was to compare the costs of regular maintenance with the total costs of a planned one-time reconstruction and to verify the assumption that systematic and long-term maintenance is more economically advantageous. The theoretical part outlines the historical, cultural, and ecological significance of historical gardens, the legislative framework for their protection, and potential sources of funding. The practical section presents a case study of the garden in Brandýs, including findings from interviews with the castle’s administrator and the town’s deputy mayor, a cost calculation for regular maintenance, and a comparison with the projected reconstruction costs. The results confirmed that regular maintenance is more cost-effective in terms of long-term sustainability and heritage value preservation. The research also highlighted a potential gap between legal requirements and practical implementation. |
