Bakalářská práce se věnuje komparaci přístupů ke zdravotní péči ve Spojených státech amerických (USA) a ve Švédsku k roku 2024. Hlavním cílem práce je porovnání zdravotních systémů obou zmíněných zemí. Na konci práce jsou nastíněny možné prvky pro inspiraci těmito systémy pro Českou republiku. V teoretické části jsou shrnuty základní pojmy týkající se problematiky zdravotnictví a charakteristika jednotlivých zdravotních systémů. V praktické části jsou poté zahrnuty a podrobněji rozebrány už jen konkrétní zdravotní systémy USA a Švédska. Práce shrnuje komparaci vybraných ukazatelů, jako jsou výdaje na zdravotnictví, zdroje financování a role zdravotních pojišťoven. Ze zjištěných informací vyplývá, že Švédsko se opírá o stabilnější a rovnocennější přístup ke zdravotní péči, zatímco v USA dochází k problémům s dostupností a krytí zdravotní péče pro všechny občany. Česká republika by se těmito systémy mohla inspirovat lepší decentralizací zdravotní péče a zajištěním rovnějšího přístupu pro své obyvatele. |

| Abstract: |
The bachelor's thesis focuses on comparing approaches to healthcare in the United States of America (USA) and Sweden as of 2024. The main objective of the thesis is to compare the healthcare systems of the two aforementioned countries. At the end of the thesis, potential elements from these systems are outlined as sources of inspiration for the Czech Republic. The theoretical part summarizes the basic concepts related to healthcare and provides an overview of each healthcare system. The practical part includes and analyzes in more detail the specific healthcare systems of the USA and Sweden. The thesis presents a comparison of selected indicators, such as healthcare expenditures, sources of funding, and the role of health insurance companies. The findings suggest that Sweden relies on a more stable and equitable approach to healthcare, whereas the USA faces challenges with the accessibility and coverage of healthcare for all citizens. The Czech Republic could take inspiration from these systems to improve decentralization of healthcare and ensure more equal access for its population. |
