| Abstract: | Tato bakalářská práce se zaměřuje na přínosy a náklady přímých zahraničních investic v České republice ve zpracovatelském průmyslu. Výsledky ukazují, že zahraniční podniky mají ve srovnání s domácími podniky v České republice vyšší produktivitu práce, avšak nižší celkovou produktivitu. Přesto domácí podniky dohánějí zahraniční podniky, což může naznačovat pozitivní vliv PZI na ekonomiku České republiky. Přestože zahraniční podniky výrazně více investují do výzkumu a vývoje a tyto výdaje rostou rychlejším tempem, roční počet patentů v high-tech a jejich tempo růstu je vyšší u domácích podniků, což také může ale nemusí naznačovat pozitivní vliv PZI na inovace. Mezi nejvýznamnější negativní dopady PZI patří odliv kapitálu a částečně crowding-out efekt. Polsko ve srovnání s Českou republikou více profituje z přílivu zahraničních investic. |

| Abstract: | This bachelor's thesis focuses on the benefits and costs of foreign direct investment (FDI) in the Czech Republic's manufacturing industry. The findings show that foreign companies in the Czech Republic have higher labour productivity compared to domestic firms, but lower overall productivity. Nevertheless, domestic firms are catching up with foreign ones, which may indicate a positive impact of FDI on the Czech economy. Although foreign companies invest significantly more in research and development, and these expenditures are growing at a faster rate, the annual number of patents in high-tech sectors and their growth rate are higher among domestic firms, which may or may not suggest a positive influence of FDI on innovation. The most significant negative impacts of FDI include capital outflow and, to some extent, the crowding-out effect. Compared to the Czech Republic, Poland benefits more from the inflow of foreign investment. |
