Tato diplomová práce se zabývá analýzou potenciálu rozvoje říční dopravy ve Střední Evropě, se zvláštním důrazem na Českou republiku. Cílem práce je tento potenciál zhodnotit, identifikovat klíčové faktory ovlivňující její využití a definovat hlavní překážky dalšího rozvoje tohoto dopravního oboru. Teoretická část je zaměřena na charakteristiku říční dopravy v evropském kontextu, její postavení ve vztahu k dalším oborům dopravy a na popis aktuálních projektů a iniciativ. V praktické části jsou využity analytické nástroje ke zhodnocení největších rizik a slabých stránek souvisejících s projekty zaměřenými na splavnění Labe. Závěrem jsou diskutovány potenciální možnosti využití říční dopravy v České republice. Výsledky práce ukazují, že za určitých podmínek by tento obor mohl být konkurenceschopnou alternativou k silniční a železniční nákladní dopravě. Rozvoj však bude vyžadovat rozsáhlé investice do infrastruktury. |

| Abstract: |
This thesis deals with the analysis of the potential for the development of river transport in Central Europe, with special emphasis on the Czech Republic. The aim of the thesis is to analyse this potential, identify the key factors influencing its use and define the main obstacles to the further development of this transport mode. The theoretical part focuses on the characteristics of river transport in the European context, its position in relation to other transport modes and a description of current projects and initiatives. In the practical part, analytical tools are used to assess the major risks and weaknesses related to the Elbe River projects. Finally, potential opportunities for river transport in the Czech Republic are discussed. The results show that under certain conditions this sector could be a competitive alternative to road and rail freight transport. However, its development will require extensive investments in infrastructure. |
